Inconel 625 Buttweld Fittings — ASTM B366 WPNCMC (UNS N06625)

Inconel 625 Buttweld Fittings Manufacturer in India

Inconel 625 buttweld fittings are made from Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) to ASTM B366 / ASME SB366 grade WPNCMC, formed from 625 pipe, plate or bar and dimensioned to ASME B16.9. They are used in piping systems where stainless and duplex steels reach their limits: hot or stagnant seawater, sour gas, mixed acids and high-temperature oxidising service.

Raaj Fittings manufactures Alloy 625 elbows, tees, reducers, caps and stub ends at our two plants in India, seamless and welded, in schedules from 5S upwards, for offshore, chemical, refinery and power projects in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

Working with Alloy 625 Fittings

  • Welding: 625 is welded with matching ERNiCrMo-3 filler and a qualified procedure, with low heat input and clean joint preparation; no post-weld heat treatment is normally needed for corrosion service.
  • Thin walls: because 625 is so strong and corrosion resistant, light-wall fittings (SCH 10S, 40S) are common and save weight and cost.
  • Clad pipe systems: solid 625 fittings are used where 625-clad or lined pipe changes direction or branches.
  • Alternatives: for less aggressive service, Incoloy 825 or super duplex fittings may be more economical; for reducing acids, Hastelloy C276.

Inconel 625 Buttweld Fittings We Manufacture

Applications

  • Offshore seawater and firewater piping in severe service
  • Sour gas processing and subsea production systems
  • Chemical and fertiliser plants with mixed acids
  • Flue gas desulphurisation scrubbers and ducting
  • High-temperature and marine exhaust piping

Testing and Documentation

Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the fittings are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Inconel 625 Buttweld Fittings — FAQs

WPNCMC is the ASTM B366 grade designation for wrought fittings in nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium alloy UNS N06625, commonly known as Alloy 625 or Inconel 625.

Matching ERNiCrMo-3 (AWS A5.14) filler is normally used, with a qualified low-heat-input procedure.

Yes. Smaller sizes are made seamless from 625 pipe or bar; larger sizes are welded from plate, with the welds examined as specified on the order.

Yes, Alloy 625 is widely used in sour oil and gas service and can be supplied to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 when specified.
