Cupro Nickel 90/10 Buttweld Fittings are made to Copper-nickel 90/10, UNS C70600 (made from ASTM B466 / B467 pipe) for marine seawater piping. Elbows, tees, reducers and caps are dimensioned to ASME B16.9 and bevelled for welding into Cupro Nickel 90/10 pipe.
Raaj Fittings manufactures Cupro Nickel 90/10 buttweld fittings in-house at our two plants in India, seamless and welded, from ½" upwards, and exports them to EPC contractors, fabricators and stockists across the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, with full traceability and EN 10204 certificates.

Copper-nickel 90/10 (UNS C70600) is a copper alloy with 10% nickel and small additions of iron and manganese. It forms a thin protective film in seawater that resists corrosion and, unusually, discourages marine growth, which is why it is the classic material for seawater piping on ships and offshore installations.
| Element, % | C70600 |
|---|---|
| Nickel (Ni) | 9.0 – 11.0 |
| Iron (Fe) | 1.0 – 1.8 |
| Manganese (Mn) | 1.0 max |
| Lead (Pb) | 0.05 max |
| Zinc (Zn) | 1.0 max |
| Copper (Cu) | Remainder |
Mechanical properties depend on product form and temper and are reported on the mill test certificate.

Copper-nickel fittings are made from seamless or welded copper-nickel pipe and welded with matching copper-nickel filler. Design flow velocities should stay within the limits for the alloy to avoid erosion at elbows and tees.
Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the buttweld fittings are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.
It resists seawater corrosion and biofouling, so pipes stay clean and sound for many years, which is why it is widely used in ship and offshore seawater systems.
70/30 has about 30% nickel and resists higher flow velocities and more aggressive conditions; 90/10 is more economical and is the most widely used for general seawater piping.
Yes. Smaller sizes are normally seamless and larger sizes welded, with weld examination as the specification and your order require. Tell us the size, schedule and any construction requirement.
Every order is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates showing heat chemistry and mechanical properties to Copper-nickel 90/10, UNS C70600 (made from ASTM B466 / B467 pipe). EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by your nominated third-party agency are available on request.
