ASTM A860 WPHY Buttweld Fittings are made to ASTM A860 / ASME SA860 WPHY 42, 52, 60, 65 and 70 for high-yield pipeline service. Elbows, tees, reducers and caps are dimensioned to MSS SP-75 and ASME B16.9 and bevelled for welding into ASTM A860 WPHY pipe.

ASTM A860 WPHY fittings are high-yield, normalised or quenched-and-tempered carbon steel buttweld fittings for pipelines. They are made to the dimensions of MSS SP-75 so that elbows, tees and reducers match the strength of high-yield line pipe from API 5L X42 to X70.

WPHY fittings are dimensioned to MSS SP-75 and designed so the fitting wall at the weld bevel matches the pipe. Where fitting and pipe walls differ, the bevel is tapered per ASME B16.25 / B31.8 practice. Barred tees for pigged lines are made to order.
Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the buttweld fittings are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.
WPHY is the ASTM A860 grade for high-yield pipeline fittings, and 52 is the minimum yield strength in ksi (about 360 MPa), matching API 5L X52 pipe.
