ASTM A234 WPB buttweld fittings are the standard carbon steel elbows, tees, reducers and caps for welding into carbon steel pipe such as ASTM A106 Grade B and API 5L Grade B. Made to ASTM A234 / ASME SA234 grade WPB and dimensioned to ASME B16.9, they carry hydrocarbons, steam, water and utilities in refineries, gas plants, pipelines, power stations and every kind of process plant.
Raaj Fittings manufactures WPB fittings in-house at our two plants in India, seamless from ½" and welded (WPB-W) up to 48", in SCH 10 to XXS, and ships them with rust-preventive protection to EPC contractors, fabricators and stockists across the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the fittings are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.
WPB fittings are seamless; WPB-W fittings are welded, made from plate or welded pipe, normally for larger diameters, and their welds are examined as ASTM A234 and the order require.
WPB fittings match carbon steel pipe such as ASTM A106 Grade B, ASTM A53 Grade B and API 5L Grade B. The fitting wall is matched to the pipe schedule.
WPB is not impact tested and is normally limited to about −29 °C. For colder service, ASTM A420 WPL6 fittings, impact tested at −46 °C, are used.
