SS 316/316L forged fittings are socket weld and threaded fittings forged from ASTM A182 / ASME SA182 F316 and F316L and machined to ASME B16.11. They are the standard small-bore fittings for chemical, petrochemical, offshore and pharmaceutical plants, where the molybdenum in 316 protects against the chlorides and acids that would pit 304, and the low carbon of 316L keeps socket welds free of sensitisation.
Raaj Fittings forges SS 316/316L elbows, tees, crosses, couplings, unions, caps, plugs, bushings, nipples and swage nipples in-house at our two plants in India, from ⅛" to 4" in Class 2000 to 9000, and exports them across the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Supply is normally dual-certified F316/F316L.

Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the fittings are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.
In any service with chlorides, acids or a marine atmosphere, yes. The 2–3% molybdenum in 316L resists pitting and crevice corrosion, which matters in the small crevice that every socket weld joint leaves.
Yes. Swage nipples and bull plugs are made to MSS SP-95, and branch outlet fittings (weldolets, sockolets, threadolets) to MSS SP-97, in SS 316/316L and the other grades we stock.
NPT threads to ASME B1.20.1 are standard, and BSPT or BSPP threads to BS 21 / ISO 7-1 are available for buyers whose equipment uses British threads.
Each fitting is traceable to an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate with heat chemistry and mechanical properties to ASTM A182. EN 10204 3.2 certificates witnessed by your nominated third-party inspector are available on request.
