NPT end tube fittings join instrument or hydraulic tubing to equipment with American taper pipe threads to ASME B1.20.1: valves, gauges, transmitters, manifolds and pipe fittings. Male and female connectors, elbows and tees combine a compression or bite type tube end with an NPT thread, and are the most common way to connect tubing to process equipment in oil and gas, chemical and power plants.
Raaj Fittings machines NPT end tube fittings at our two plants in India in SS 316, 304, duplex, nickel alloys and carbon steel, in metric and imperial tube sizes.
Any tube OD can be combined with a range of NPT sizes, typically from ⅛" to 1" NPT, for example ¼" OD tube × ¼" NPT or 12 mm tube × ½" NPT. Threads are cut to ASME B1.20.1 and checked with gauges.
NPT threads seal by the taper with a sealant or PTFE tape. Apply tape or paste from the second thread back so none enters the tubing system, and do not over-tighten into soft or thin-walled ports. For fully leak-free gas service, some specifications prefer straight-thread O-ring ports or welded connections.
Every NPT tube fitting is made from PMI-verified material, dimensionally inspected against the ordered standard and marked with material, size, rating and heat number. Orders are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 certificates; EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request.

Yes, the NPT thread needs a sealant or PTFE tape. The compression tube end seals by its ferrules and needs no sealant.
Yes, metric tube ODs are combined with NPT threads, for example 12 mm × ½" NPT.
