Cupro Nickel 70/30 Flanges are made to Copper-nickel 70/30, UNS C71500 for high-velocity seawater service. They are supplied in every common flange type and facing to ASME B16.5, B16.47 and the main EN, DIN, BS and JIS standards.

Copper-nickel 70/30 (UNS C71500) contains about 30% nickel, giving it higher strength and better resistance to high flow velocities, polluted water and erosion than 90/10. It is used where seawater systems run faster or harder than 90/10 can tolerate.

Mechanical properties depend on product form and temper and are reported on the mill test certificate.

Copper-nickel flanges are commonly supplied as weld neck, slip on and blind flanges, or as backing flanges with copper-nickel collars. Where they meet steel, insulating gasket kits prevent galvanic corrosion.
Every heat is PMI-verified and its chemistry and mechanical properties are confirmed against the material specification before the flanges are released. Each piece is marked with grade, size, rating and heat number for traceability to its EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate. EN 10204 3.2 certification and inspection by the buyer's nominated third-party agency are available on request, as are PED 2014/68/EU compliance for European projects and IBR certification for Indian boiler applications.
Choose 70/30 for higher seawater velocities, polluted or aggressive water and where better erosion resistance is needed, for example in condensers and naval seawater systems.
Copper-nickel is normally joined to steel through flanges with suitable gasket and insulation arrangements rather than by direct welding.
