Because the weld metal thickness of the weldolets is always more than that of the sweepolet, welding may need to be done for a little longer to allow the heat input to cool off and avoid the pipe from being warped like a banana.

There are fewer sweepolet. Preparing and beveling the pipe for a sweepolet may be more difficult and time-consuming than with weldolets if you lack specific familiarity with them. The sweepolet may be laid down on the pipe and the contour drawn since the sweepolet form is so distinct. However, because the sweepolet is much larger than the weldolet, more material needs to be removed.
