What Is Hammer Union?
A typical piping connection used in the oil business is the hammer union. It is made up of two joints and several threaded nuts. A sledge hammer is used to tap the nuts' protrusions in order to tighten the connection. Because they can be swiftly assembled or disassembled, they are typically employed in treated iron. These pipe fittings link heavy duty flow lines.
There are numerous shapes, sizes, and pressure ratings for the Hammer Union. It is one of the most trustworthy fittings for fluid conveyance. The compatibility of the two Hammer Unions' halves must be guaranteed. When a high pressure and low pressure hammer union are used together, failures and accidents may result.

How Do You Install A Hammer Union?
The male sub, female sub, and nut are the three components of the Hammer Union. The male sub, which is the external threaded section of the Hammer Union, is welded to the end of the pipe connecting the tank wall. Through the nut, the pipe enters the female sub and travels to the enormous O-ring. To provide a secure connection with the female component, the nut that has been threaded into the interiors is then hammered and tightened.

How To Tighten A Hammer Union?
The male and female sub joints and threaded nuts that are part of the Hammer Union are two joints. A sledge hammer is used to tap the nuts' protrusions in order to tighten the connection with the female sub.

Parts Of A Hammer Union
The Hammer Union has three parts namely male sub, female sub and nut.

What Is Fig In Hammer Union?
Fig In Hammer Union, numerous designs and pressure ratings are represented. Depending on the arrangement and size, the hammer union's pressure rating ranges from 1000 to 15000 psi.
